Narek Abelian

Narek Abelian is a PhD student at Purdue University’s Department of Political Science. Studying comparative politics and quantitative research methods, Narek’s primary research interests are in political economy, regime stability, democratic backsliding, authoritarianism, and AI’s role in labor markets, surveillance, and social attitudes. At GRAIL, Narek is the graduate student lead of the Political Deepfakes Incidents Database (PDID), a database that houses reports of politically motivated AI-generated content on social media platforms.
