Ashley Ko

Ashley is a third-year undergraduate student at Purdue University pursuing a dual degree in Artificial Intelligence and Political Science. She is interested in the intersection of artificial intelligence, public policy, and responsible AI, particularly how emerging technologies affect workers and the labor market. At GRAIL, she works on the Forecasting AI Risks and Impacts on the Workforce (FAIRWORK) project, where she contributes to interdisciplinary research examining AI’s impact on employment, worker protections, and policy responses. Her work involves literature synthesis, quantitative data analysis, and examining how different research communities understand and propose responses to AI-driven changes in the workplace. Last summer, she was a Technology Policy Fellow with the Paragon Policy Fellowship, where she contributed to research on AI governance and transparency for the City of San José.
