I am an assistant professor at Emory University specializing in comparative politics, public policy, housing policy, and elections. My research examines the causes of nonstate welfare provision and the political consequences of public policies—particularly housing policy—using a multi-method approach with an emphasis on causal inference. My work has appeared in leading journals such as American Journal of Political Science, American Political Science Review, British Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, and World Politics. It has received multiple awards from the American Political Science Association, REPAL, and LASA, and has been supported by institutions including Meta, the Stanford Internet Observatory, MIT Gov/Lab, and Yale’s ISPS.
