Lucas is a PhD candidate in the School of Applied and Creative Computing at Purdue University studying AI ethics and education. His research focuses on AI ethics measurement in human-AI collaborative spaces. In GRAIL, he works with the NSF F[AI]RWORK team to forecast the impacts of AI on labor and work and also works in the Research on Computing in Engineering and Technology Education Lab on NSF ManuFuture and NSF Hidden Curriculum in CS Education research projects.

In GRAIL, he has worked on the systematic review of AI Ethics Education and works with the NSF F[AI]RWORK team to help forecast the impacts of AI on labor and work. Additionally, he works in the Research on Computing in Engineering and Technology Education Lab under Dr. Alejandra Magana and conducts research in the NSF Future of Manufacturing and NSF Hidden Curriculum in Computer Science Education projects. He holds an M.S. in Computer and Information Technology, B.A. in Philosophy, and B.S. in Cybersecurity from Purdue University.
