His research has been published in journals such as the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, the American Political Science Review, the Journal of Politics, the Journal of Policy Analysis and Management, Criminology and Public Policy, and other outlets. His recent focus on policing accountability and leadership has been funded by the National Institute of Justice and Arnold Ventures. With GRAIL, Josh works on questions surrounding the use of emerging AI technologies in law enforcement and other public institutions.
